DATA MANAGEMENT TEAM OF THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF BUDDHIST GUIDANCE

Since 2023, the Directorate General of Buddhist Guidance has established a nationwide Data Management Team consisting of data contributors from central and regional units as well as Buddhist Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKB). This team serves as the frontline in realizing a transparent, inclusive, accountable, and effective digital transformation of Buddhist data management.
Over time, the Data Management Team of the Directorate General of Buddhist Guidance has not only acted as a Data Producer for the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia but also as a driver of integration, unifying diverse information within the One Data Indonesia framework. The team’s main activities include systematically and sustainably collecting, processing, validating, publishing, and presenting data related to Buddhism, religious affairs, institutions, and education.
This commitment is realized through the continuous development of the Portal Data Buddha as the official One Data platform of the Directorate General of Buddhist Guidance. The portal provides an open, easily accessible digital space oriented toward data utilization, serving both internal government needs and external stakeholders who require accurate data.
Since the portal’s initial release (v1.0 in September 2022) to the latest version, the Data Management Team has continuously introduced innovations. These include initial access to Buddhist religious data, upgrading to a modern website system integrated with Google Workspace, and adding features such as Sign Up/Login, Contributor Access, Member Area, Smart Search, Data Publications, Multilanguage Web, and Disability Access.
With a long-term vision, the Data Management Team is committed to making the Portal Data Buddha a relevant digital information center that is adaptive to technological developments and contributes meaningfully to supporting digital transformation within the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the wider community.
